Lionel Messi assured last Saturday that he will only go back to play when he is totally recovered from the muscular injury, but in the last days it has suffered a relapse and he is going to Argentina to have it treated. He is traveling to his home country in company of Juanjo Brau, who is a team assistant.
“I’m going to Argentina with Juanjo and I’ll come back when I’m recovered”, explained Messi, who added that this time he is not planning to anticipate his appearance.
“I made a mistake when I tried to return before I was supposed to, and now I will only play again when the doctors tell me I’m ok”, said Messi who has been off the games for five weeks, since he got the injury playing against the Chelsea.
The decision of going to Argentina was taken by Messi himself, since he wants to get away from the pressure and avoid the anxiety of not being able to help his mates, besides he has Frank Rijkaard’s approval.
Until he leaves fot Argentina, he will continue his recovery in Camp Nou, where last Saturday a book about his life was presented, entitled: “Leo Messi. Barca’s treasure”, written by the journalist Toni Frieros.
